Blackmores Weight-Less – the appetite suppressant, but does it make you feel fuller for longer
Weight-Less is a diet pill manufactured by Blackmores. The company has a good reputation for producing quality products and, in 2014, the annual Reader’s Digest survey listed Blackmores as “Australia’s “Most Trusted Brand” for vitamins and supplements.
The company was awarded the same ranking for the previous five years as well, so there can be no doubt that Blackmores is one of Australia’s top brands.
The company currently produces and markets an impressive number of health and wellness products, three of which are designed to tackle weight management issues. Weigh-Less is appears to be the one that offers the most potential as a weight loss provider.

What is Blackmores Weight-Less and how does it Work?
Weight-Less is an appetite suppressant. The formulation does not speed up the metabolism or directly influence the body’s fat burning abilities. All it does is help the user eat less food without having to live with nagging feeling of hunger.
By suppressing the appetite and enabling the user to stick to a low calorie diet, appetite suppressants can be very effective for lowering the amount of calories that are put into the body each day and, if the amount provided falls short of the body’s daily requirements, body fat will be burned to provide the energy the diet has not. It must be noted, however, that this is a reaction to the situation (reduced calorie availability) rather than a reaction to the appetite suppressant itself.
Appetite suppression can be an effective way of encouraging weight loss, but results will always be improved when appetite suppressing formulations are used as part of an overall weight management program that includes a low calorie diet and regular exercise.
Key Ingredients in the Weight-Less Formulation
Weight-Less contains the trademarked ingredient Luralean. There are no other active ingredients.
Luralean was developed in Switzerland by Stragen Farma. It is a high molecular, water-soluble weight fibre derived from the Amorphophallus konjac plant, often called glucomannan.
When taken with water, prior to eating a meal, the natural fibres suck up the moisture and swell in the stomach to form a high viscosity gel-like substance that creates a feeling of fullness. This reduces the desire to eat. It also reduces the amount of room available in the stomach, so Luralean (and glucomannan containing products in general) can be very effective for suppressing the appetite.
As an added bonus, such compounds can also prove useful for lowering cholesterol. This is achieved because use of such products reduces the re-absorption of bile acids, forcing the body to synthesize fresh acids. This is a process that requires cholesterol and, therefore, causes a reduction in circulating LDL cholesterol.
Neither Blackmores Weight-Less or Luralean have been subjected to clinical trials, but glucomannan has proved its value as a weight loss provider in a number of scientific studies. The result of one such study was published in the International Journal of Obesity (1984) and suggests a weight loss of 3g a day should be achievable when glucomannan usage is used alongside a restricted calorie diet and exercise. Blackmores Weight-Less Customer Feedback
Very little customer feedback is available, but so far nobody has a bad word to say about the product.
Blackmores Weight-Less Side Effects
When used in a sensible manner glucomannan products should be safe, but if the capsules become stuck in the throat it is possible they may swell up and cause an obstruction to the airways. There is also some concern that glucomannan may cause intestinal blockages if consumed with an inadequate amount of water. Anyone who has any doubts about the product or its suitability is advised to discuss the matter with their doctor. The same applies to people with known health issues or who have difficulty swallowing. Blackmores Weight-Less is unlikely to be suitable for pregnant or nursing mothers.

Purchasing Options & Considerations
A box of 60 Weight-Less capsules costs AUD$ 51.99 when purchased from the manufacturer’s website and all orders of AUD$ 60 or more are shipped for free (Australian customers only). Weight-Less is also available from a number of online stores, including PharmacyOnline and PharmacyDirect, and customers who chose to purchase this way can usually secure a much better deal.
Alternative Appetite Suppressants
There are several other appetite suppressant that in our opinion will serve you better. One being PhenQ.
PhenQ is not only an appetite suppressant but also a fat burner – it is arguably the most popular and best selling diet pill in Australia.
