TruWeight & Energy Review
TruWeight & Energy is a capsule-format weight loss supplement produced by a company called TruVision Health.
Although it is one of the most expensive weight loss supplements on the market, the company provides very little information about how the product works.
They merely state it is a “multi purpose supplement” that requires no special diet.
The possible benefits are:
- Shed those stubborn pounds
- Lose body fat
- Feel more energized
On the plus side, TruVision Health provides a brief overview of each of the ingredients, but not all of the information is accurate and no links are provided to further (more accurate) information. For example, a statement is made about the caffeine content of aspirin is nonsensical. Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is a chemical compound in its own right. It does not contain caffeine, although, admittedly, some painkillers contain both ingredients.
It is also important potential customers be aware there are two formulations available. One for customers based in the US and a totally different one for customers who live elsewhere in the world. This is probably due to restrictions imposed by the FDA. The original formulation (Gen 1) contains AMP (4-Amino-2-Methylpentane Citrate). It is more commonly called DMBA and the FDA raises several issues in relation to the use of the ingredient. So the people at TruVision Health appear to be covering their backs by only distributing their “Gen 2” formulation in the US.
Key Ingredients
Each TruWeight & Energy capsule provides:
Gen 1
· AMP · Green Tea EGCG extract · Dendrobium · Bitter Orange · Phenylethylamine HCl · Caffeine · Bioperine (Black Pepper) · Vitamin B-6 · Vitamin B-12 · Chromium
|
Gen 2
· Niacin (7.5mg) · Vitamin B12 (25mcg) · Calcium (7.5mg)
· TruWeight Appetite Balance (proprietary blend): N-Acetyl Cysteine, Benzylamin HCI, Caffeine Citrate, Yohimbine, Dendrobium
· TruWeight Metabolism Balance (proprietary blend): Green Tea Extract, TriMethylGlycine, Caffeine, Theacrine, Hordenine, Evodiamine, korean Ginseng.

The fact that two blends are in use and they are so different makes it very hard to evaluate product potential. Both versions contain ingredients that have merit, such as green tea (a proven fat burner) and B Vitamins (support efficient metabolism), but in many cases inclusion rates are not supplied. However both blends contain stimulants that may provide the promised energy boost. It also seems likely that the Gen 2 blend may not be as efficient as the original version because if it was it would make sense to just market the one blend (Gen 2) on a worldwide scale.

Customer Feedback
Not surprisingly, the manufacturer’s website showcases several positive reviews. No independent reviews are available, but some of the websites created by affiliate partners allow customer comments. Not all of them suggest an effective product and at least one user reports “icky feelings”, interrupted sleep, and nausea. However, it is impossible to say which formulation any of the comments refer to.
Side Effects & Health Issues
The manufacturer fails to state if side effects are likely to be an issue, but the FAQs page on the company website points out the need to seek clearance from a doctor before using the product alongside medication. This is wise advice, but we feel it should be extended to people who have existing health issues. The FAQs page also states: “Studies have shown that the ingredients found in our products are safe to use during pregnancy or nursing.” No studies are referenced and such a statement cannot be supported. In reference to one of the ingredients (Dendrobium) the authority website WebMD states: “There isn’t enough information to know if dendrobium is safe to take during pregnancy or breastfeeding.” WebMD issues similar cautions for several of the other ingredients used in the TruWeight & Energy formulations.
Purchasing Options & Considerations
It is possible to purchase TruWeight & Energy from the TruVision Health website, via Amazon.com, and from a growing number of independently run websites created by TruVision associate partners, who are afforded the right to purchase quantities of the company’s product at discounted prices and then resell it to make a profit. TruVision Health also operates a “Preferred Customer” program that provides a slight discount to customers who agree to accept regular consignments of product and have the price automatically debited from their cards.
Each box of TruWeight & Energy contains 60 capsules and will last just 15 days when used in the recommended way.
The three-tiered pricing is: (in USD
- Retail customers: $58.95
- Preferred customers: $51.95
- Associate customers: $46.45
TrueVision Health associates have a very small profit margin, so shopping around is unlikely to secure a better deal. The overall cost of dieting the TruWeight & Energy way is more than $100 per month and the product is sold without a money back guarantee
